Travel Ninh Binh Detail

Located at the southern tip of the Red River delta in the north of Vietnam, Ninh Binh province is a rich cultural traditional land with the beautiful natural beauty and long history. This region used to be the capital of the three dynasties of Vietnam in the 10th century before moving to Hanoi under Ly dynasty in the 11th century. So, Ninh Binh has a lot of potentials to develop tourism, and in reality, this province is deemed as a miniature Vietnam.

Ninh Binh is situated in the crossing point of three geographic regions of Vietnam which are the northwest, Red River delta, and northcentral coast. the province is adjacent to Hoa Binh in the north, Nam Dinh in the north and east, Thanh Hoa in the west and Tonkin Gulf in the southeast. The province is only 93 kilometers from Hanoi.

There are three main terrains in Ninh Binh province whereas, the mountainous region in the northwest includes 4 districts of Nho Quan, Gia Vien, Hoa Lu, Tam Diep, the coastal region in the southeast includes Kim Son and Yen Khanh district, and Ninh Binh city belongs to the transition region.

Ninh Binh province holds great tourism potential thanks to owning abundance of beautiful sceneries and cultural relics such as Hoa Lu ancient capital which is the capital of the first centralized feudal state of Vietnam, Bai Dinh pagoda- the largest temple in Southeast Asia, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Tam Coc-Bich Dong, Cuc Phuong national park, Phat Diem stone church, etc.
