My girlfriend and I arranged to spend 3 days in Sapa. The first day was spent doing an easy trek to Cat Cat Village and the second and third days were spent climbing Fansipan. I would absolutely recommend coming up to Sapa for a few days if you have the time, and I would also recommend TrekkingSapa as a company to arrange this for you. I say this for three reasons:

First, the scenery is amazing. And so is the weather. And the atmosphere. After melting in the 40-degree sun in Hanoi, breathing in smoggy, exhaust-laden air and just listening to the sound of traffic ringing in our ears non-stop, Sapa was absolutely refreshing. The weather is cool, the landscapes are gorgeous and the vibe is laid-back.

Second, TrekkingSapa is extremely reliable. Before coming up to Vietnam, we read quite a number of reviews about scams. A bunch of friends of mine even got thrown off at a gas station in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night because they booked with a dodgy agency. TrekkingSapa is not such an agency. Everything was seamless, and we were served very well by Mr Hong. We did not have to worry about anything at all.

In fact, while I was making the arrangements with Mr Hong, I made a mistake in the dates (I fixed the dates for May instead of June), and Mr Hong had already booked all the tickets and accommodation. In fact, I had already paid the deposit for the trip. When I found out my mistake, I expected the worse. However, Mr Hong helped us to rectify everything (bookings and all) free of charge, and I think that is excellent service on his part.

Last, the guides and the staff that TrekkingSapa have arrangements with are professional, speak English well, and are very customer-centric. I have done a number of mountain climbs before, but it was my girlfriend's first time and she was not having the easiest of times. Our guide, Su Thao, made it a point to look out for her during the climb and even advised us that the summit push might be too dangerous for her. I think that deserves respect, because I have seen guides absolutely killing their guests by not paying enough attention to their speed, fitness and skill.
All in all, we had a great time! This was unforgettable, in the best possible way.

It's really an amazing trip. Sapa is even more beautiful than I've ever expected. Trekking to Ham Rong Valley is really a fascinating experience. Standing at Cloud Yard, Sapa is all in my view, sunking in a cloudy sea and feel excited with so many colourful pretty flowers. The tour guide was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable
This was our second trip to Vietnam but our first visit to Sapa. We stayed at the Unique Hotel which is indeed 'Unique' & so suited to Sapa. Had fantastic views from our balcony!
I love Sapa
