70km far from Lao Cai city, Bac Ha town is an interesting destination with many historical relics and special culture found in the typical Sapa day tour. It is recognized as a National Cultural History Monument in 2003.
Bac Ha Temple was built in the late 19th century, worshiped two brothers Vu Van Uyen and Vu Van Mat, from Gia Loc, Hai Duong who went to Ngoc Uyen cave to build a military base to stabilize people's living in a border area.
To Bac Ha, you cannot miss to visit the Imperial Palace, Bac Ha Temple, the ancient citadel of China; the brocade villages, cooking specialty corn wine of Mong people such as Ban Pho, Ta Van Chu; Lung Phin market, Bac Ha cultural market, Coc Ly market, and Ban Lien market.
Thuong temple in Lao Cai ward, Lao Cai city, where the confluence between Nam Thi and Red river flows into Vietnam. The temple was built to worship Tran Hung Dao who had three times defeated Nguyen invaders.

The Festival of Temples of Lao Cai City is held annually on the full moon day of the year, with many activities and traditional characteristics of the Vietnamese.
Lao Cai’s Holy Mother Temple was built in the 18th century, located at border crossing No. 102 between Vietnam and China, near the border gate of Lao Cai (in old Bao Thang, Chau Thuy Vi, Hung Hoa province). now in Lao Cai Ward, Lao Cai City, Vietnam. Initially, the temple was a small shrine on the banks of the Red River and Nam Thi River; Through many renovations, the temple is now spacious with 9 chapels.
Under the feudal dynasties of Vietnam, the temple was decorated three times. In 2011, the temple was rated by the functional sector as a historic national level. The god is worshiped here is the Princess Lieu Hanh. In addition, the worship of other divine gods such as the Emperor of the Holy, Hoang Bay, Hoang Muoi, Quan lon Thu Den, and De Nhi Son Trang. The statues in the temple have the majestic appearance.
The main ceremony of the year is Mau de Nhat Lieu Hanh, which is celebrated on March 3 of the lunar calendar every year.
Doi Co Temple is located in a nice location in Chieng On village, Cam Duong commune, Lao Cai town, now in Binh Minh ward, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province. In front is a green streamline backed by the large hill, Doi Co Temple is also known by other people as the "Co Doi" Cam Duong Temple.
In the past, Lao Cai was a busy trading place between the lowland and the upstream region. On that day, two young girls from the village of Dinh Bang - Bac Ninh went to the cloth trade. Two girls often slept in the village of Chieng On to trade cloth and take other products bring back, the feelings of the village with two girls increasingly attached and close. After a few days, Chieng villagers discovered that two dead bodies drifted to the village (now known as Doi Co). In the village, the villagers of Chieng village set up the shrine.
Since then, the villagers have prospered and the harvest season is rich. Not only the locals but also visitors all over the country come here to burn incense to remember the two young girls who are always kind to help the local people have a warm and peaceful life. Day by day, the small shrines have been renovated several times to become a more spacious temple attached to the name of Doi Co Temple as today.
Through the ups and downs of history and the many changes of war, the ever-existing Doi Co temple has become more and more widely built to meet the needs of leisure and activities, spiritual culture of visitors cross. Like other temples, Do Co Temple performs several main festivals such as the Thuong Nguyen Tet Festival held on the 10th of January (lunar year).
